Connect. Comfort. Engage
I received my master's degree in 1987 from the University of San Francisco and studied the pioneers in family therapy. From their influences I established a Humanistic perspective that each person is the expert of their own lives and the belief that modelling unconditional positive regard is the beginning of therapeutic transformation.
And then I lived a life that has brought me to this point.
In strength-based practices, I work with adult women of all ages who are in difficult transitional stages of life. Some transitional stages include adjustment to changing parental role as when a child enters MS, HS or college. A young woman preparing to leave for college or her mother adjusting to that change, the end of a close relationship due to divorce, relocation or death. Financial disillusionment. Women re-establishing their identity after family and career. Death of a family member.
