Connect. Comfort. Engage
I received my master's degree in 1987 from the University of San Francisco and studied the pioneers in family therapy. From their influences I established a Humanistic perspective that each person is the expert of their own lives and the belief that modelling unconditional positive regard is the beginning of therapeutic transformation.
And then I lived a life that has brought me to this point.
In strength-based practices, I work with adult individuals and couples who are in difficult stages of life. For adult individuals difficult stages may include young adulthood seeking self-awareness, changing parental roles, the end of a close relationship due to divorce, relocation or death, re-establishing an identity after family and career. For couples moving forward in loving camaraderie after tragedies, infidelity and long time of gradual distancing.
I meet my clients where they are and through non-judgmental conversation build a connection and trust while establishing their self-awareness, growth and hope.
